Nightwing question

So I picked up a copy of Nightwing (on the strength of having liked the character manymany years ago in New Teen Titans) a while back and thought it was pretty wretched. Didn't get more than that one copy.

But I've been seeing some positive reviews lately.

Not that I'm looking to add to my comic get list. And I guess the character will be in the new Titans series, which would probably be more the dynamic I'd be looking for anyway. But is it really that good? Or just by comparison with what went before?

In my own humble opinion, Nightwing stunk. Badly. However, since Peter Tomasi has picked up the writing chores, and Rags Morales is on the art...it hurts me to say this...but it is GOOD! No, it's actually GREAT! He doesn't sit around whining anymore or being obnoxious in general.

I'm not even a batfan, and I am enjoying his interaction with Bats, Alfred and Tim enormously. Dick is also hanging out with half of the Justice League, the Society and even Wally. He's using his brains, and is gung ho about going out and doing his job. Plus, he and Tim are adorable together.

So yes, it's amazingly good. Especially in comparison to what it was before.

i've been thinking about nighwing to based o0n the reviews and rags on the art. where does tomasi start 141?

I think Tomasi took over with 140 (or maybe the one before). This is the best Nightwing has been since before Devin Grayson took over, and that's counting Marv Wolfman's recent stint. I'm a Dick Grayson fan and I'm very happy with the book right now.
